This is an original watercolour for the London and North Eastern Railway from their LNER Post-War Series of carriage prints, commissioned from 34 artists between 1948-1955. This picture was one of 16 of all the Suffolk stops by Baldwin, a self taught landscape artist of the county, painted between 1947-1950. The elongated landscape format worked for their designated space just beneath the luggage racks of the carriages, but they were also available for sale.
